The Tour:  This region of Italy has to be one of the most popular spots for wine connoisseurs and  gourmands.  The rolling hills of Chianti, the old stone houses, and the villas with cypress trees lining the drive are most impressive.

We will visit San Gimignano and its fourteen towers, Siena with its art and history, Greve in Chianti - home of Giovanni da Verrazzano and Amerigo Vespucci, and other charming Chianti villages.  The Chianti Classico and the extremely popular Super-Tuscan wines are an integral part of this tour.  We will experience a variety of vineyards, castles, enoteche and fine restaurants.

• Tuscan cooking experience at Riserva di  Fizzano.

• Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and wine tastings.

Our stay for the week will be at Riserva di Fizzano in Castellina in Chianti.  This villa is a recently restored ancient medieval village and is currently owned by the Rocca delle Macie vineyard.  It is a member of the Relais Association, which is a mark of excellence for charming hotels throughout the world.  The villa has 24  beautifully decorated apartments for guests, each with a kitchen and dining room.  A swimming pool, restaurant, and coffee bar are also part of the estate.
